Born in Los Angeles,California,in 1943,ERIC OWEN MOSS received his B.A degree from UCLA in 1995 and his M.Arch from UC Berkeley in 1968.He also received an M.Arch degree at Havard in 1972.He has beem a Professor of Design at the Southern California Institute of Architecture since 1974 and has served as Director for the past eight years.He opened his own firm in Culver City in 1973.His built work includes the Central Housing Office,University of California at Irvine,Lindblade Tower,Paramount Laundry,I.R.S Building and Samitaur,all in California.Other more recent work includes projects for the Queens Museum of Art,the Beehive,the Mariinsky and New Holland Cultural Center.Ongoing projects are Glass Tower,a high-rise office building,Sunset Dohny Hotel and a master plan for the Vienna University of Economics and Business,all in the USA unless stated otherwise.Moss was Commissioner for the Austrian Pavilion at the 2010 Architecture Biennale(Venice,Italy)

WERNER AISSLINGER was born in Nördlingen,Germany,in 1964.He studied design at the University of Arts(Hochschule der Künste,1987-'91),Berlin.From 1989 to 1992, he freelanced with the offices of Jasper Morrison and Ron Arad in London and at the Studio de Lucchi in Milan.In 1993,he founded Studio Aisslinger in Berlin, focusing on product design,design concepts, and brand architecture.From 1998 to 2005,he was a Professor of Product Design at the Design College(Hochschule für Gestaltung) in Karlsruhe(Departament of Product Design).He has developed furniture with Italian brands such as Cappellini and Zanotta and office furniture with Vitra in Switzerland.He works on product designs and architectural projects with brands like Interlübke,Mercedes-Benz,Adidas and Hugo Boss.In 2003,he designed the Loftcube, a temporary residence intended for rooftop installation(Berlin),which would appear to have a conceptual relation to the Fincube(Ritten,Italy,2010)published here.
